Securus Technologies Developing Advanced Investigative Technologies for Law Enforcement Agencies

Securus Technologies has been trying hard for many years to integrate latest and modern technology with the correctional space. The company noticed that even though other sectors have been developing rapidly due to the advancement in technology, the penitentiary area wasn’t able to make much progress. It is this gap that was filled by Securus Technologies in a very efficient manner in the last few years. The company offers many different types of inmate communication services and also provides parolee tracking system and investigative technologies. It helps the inmates as well as the law enforcement agencies.

Securus Technologies is known as a highly accessible firm and loves to communicate with its audience any new updates about the company. Recently, the company published a press release where it showcased a series of comments taken from the letters of appreciation sent by the officers from across the country. It showed the amount of love the company has been getting from the end users, and how the company has been helping in making the nation safer and smarter. The role of technology is essential to today’s date, especially when it comes to law enforcement, and Securus Technologies has been helping in developing such advanced technology.

I have been a user of Securus Technologies for last five years and have found its services to be really useful. The company has helped me and over a million other inmates to stay connected to their loved ones through their inmate communications technology and services. Not only that, but the company also offers investigative technology that assists the law enforcement officers to work efficiently. It can potentially save lives of people and help in making the communities safer and crime free, and it is the appreciation of the law enforcement officers that Securus Technologies shared with the world in a press release published online recently.

Eliminating Drugs from Jail with Help from Securus Technologies

Drugs in the prison pose all sorts of problems for corrections officers like myself. When the inmates can get drugs, they have the upper hand and make it difficult for my team to do their job. An inmate that is high is unpredictable, they can suddenly become ten times stronger than when they are not high, making us have to utilize a larger number of resources to address the problem. Inmates selling drugs in the jail is another huge concern, because more inmates are getting high and limiting our ability to keep them in line.

Securus Technologies was responsible for installing the new inmate telephone call monitoring system in our prison, and although we have used a system to monitor calls in the past, this was going to be a completely new type of resource in our efforts to control the flow of drugs in the jail. Securus Technologies is in 2,600 jails around this country and the CEO of the company says his 1,000 employees are all hard at work for one objective, making our world a safer place for us all to live.

The new call monitoring system was going to really be a huge improvement to the way we used to monitor those calls. In the not to distant past, we would have to have officers dedicated to sitting and listening to calls without the aid of any software. The inmates could easily talk in a manner that would even confuse the staff. The Securus Technologies eliminates all doubt, and the software is able to find certain chatter that helps my team to be in a position to discover exactly what the inmates are up to at any given time.

We were trained on the LBS software and were eager to see the new call system at work. It was not long after that we began hearing chatter that alarmed us at first, but allowed us to really clean up our facility. Inmates were on calls talking about using drugs in their cells at night. We discovered how they were getting the drugs from visitors despite our tough screening process. One call even revealed that an inmate was getting drugs mailed to him in liquid form and coated the notes with, he simply would tear up the note and consume it to get high. Each week we are now able to take even more drugs out of the jail.
